Dr. Andrew Kertesz
Dr. Andrew Kertesz is Professor of Neurology in the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at the University of Western Ontario, former Director of Cognitive Neurology and Chief of the Department of Neurology at St. Joseph’s Hospital. His publications dealt with aphasia, alexia, apraxia, visual agnosia and dementia. Recent projects were focused on Primary Progressive Aphasia, Semantic Dementia and Frontotemporal Dementia. He is the author of the Western Aphasia Battery, Aphasia and Associated Disorders, Localization and Neuroimaging in Neuropsychology, Pick’s disease and Pick complex and the Frontal Behavioral Inventory. He has received a lifetime achievement award from the International Neuropsychological Society and the Behavioral Neurology Society of the American academy of Neurology and he chaired the Research Group of Aphasia and Cognitive Disorders of the World Federation of Neurology.
